What do you think of when you hear the word… green?

Jackie Chan as Master Wu in the Lego Ninjago movie? No? Well, besides this epic movie, we think of one of our clients, Green Projects Group. In this case, green means what you probably already guessed—environmentally friendly. Ok, we know there’s a lot of “buzz” around being green, but our friend Will believes in making it super easy and cost-effective to make small changes in our homes that help the environment for us and the next generations.

Meet Will.

This is Will. He’s passionate about environmental sustainability, but just as much, he absolutely loves connecting with people, building relationships, and helping them through confusing projects. Will has worked in the green energy space for a while, but after years in a more corporate environment, he felt like his ability to effect change just wasn’t fulfilling. He’s chock-full of ideas, and he wanted to build a business that would allow him to dream big ideas, and then practically put together a plan to help others do the same. And Green Projects Group was born.

Green Projects Group

Green Projects Group is an organization that focuses on green energy solutions and services, paired with education and support that make it easy for anyone to enact change. Will loves to make connections between people and ideas to create unique strategies for “going green.” When working with Green Projects Group, though, you’ll never be pushed or upsold into buying something you don’t need. In fact, his very first program, the Free Lightbulb Program, was 100% free to his customers. He stepped into a gap between local utility companies who needed to reduce energy usage and local people who could get rebates for buying LED bulbs, to help both sides meet their goals. And although that program is completed, there are always new ideas that Will’s working on.

His next program is all about electrification — how we can switch our gas appliances to electric, which is safer for our homes and better for the environment. Will’s been coaching people over the last few months on updating home appliances, vehicles, and tools in an affordable and efficient way, and he loves being able to work with people one-on-one. Will says, “I just love helping people do green things.”

More about Will

Besides his work, Will is passionate about his family. He’s married to Sam ("Sam is amazing. She’s a huge part of what makes this possible") and they have two daughters: Charley (“Charley is 3, and she’s turned into a threenager. And it’s amazing and beautiful to witness (and hard sometimes)") and Amelia (“she’s 6 months old, and she’s chonky and we’re so proud of her”). He loves being able to “pop in” on his family during weekdays since he works from home, and on weekends they love spending time together outdoors. When Will was a kid, he wanted to be “an artist, a farmer, and a dad. Later I wanted to be a green entrepreneur.” Beautifully, he’s made at least half of these things happen 💚

Psst... Hey!
Our laptops, emails, and Asana boards will be closed December 23-January 1 for our team to unplug this holiday season. 🎄 We'll be back at it and ready to get to work on January 2! 🥳💛
