Software We're Most Thankful For 🦃💻

November 24, 2025

Ahhh, November, the season of stretchy pants and gratitude lists. We at Yellow Lime Creative found ourselves reflecting on all the things we’re thankful for. Family, friends, caffeine (obviously)… and software. Yep. Software. Because honestly, we love the tools we use that help us do our best work and stay organized.

So, here it is, our official top 5 tools we simply couldn’t live without. These digital MVPs keep our projects running, our team connected, and our sanity (mostly) intact.

1. Asana

Category: Project Management Tool

If we had to choose one software to be stranded on a desert island with (assuming it had wifi), it would be Asana. We live in Asana. It’s our home base. You’ll often hear us say, “if it’s not in Asana, it doesn’t exist.” From content planning to deadlines to those “extra delight” elements that occasionally appear (iykyk), Asana keeps our chaos beautifully contained. This has been our preferred project management tool since day one.

2. Discord

Category: Communication Tool

Okay, hear us out. Yes, Discord. We know it’s mostly known for gamers, but it’s also a vibe. Think of it like Slack’s cooler, free-spirited cousin. We use Discord for team chats, quick check-ins, sharing gifs or book recs, and even for team huddles. It keeps communication fast, fun, and (mostly) on-topic. Plus, it’s free. And we’re very thankful for that.

3. Figma

Category: Design Tool

We stan the Adobe Suite, but Figma? She’s clean. She’s collaborative. She’s the kind of design software that makes you want to stay up all night tweaking pixels and rearranging frames just because it looks so dang good. If we could move into a Figma workspace and live there forever, we absolutely would.

4. 1Password

Category: Security

You know what’s not fun? The anxiety of keeping track of all of your own passwords, let alone all of your client’s logins. You know what is fun? Having them all neatly stored, shared securely, and easily accessible in 1Password. This digital vault keeps us organized, secure, and slightly less panicky every time we need to log in somewhere.

5. Harvest

Harvest is our go-to for tracking time and keeping budgets happy. It helps us see where our hours go (spoiler: it’s not just making Reels and drinking coffee), and makes sure every project stays on track. In a world where “scope creep” lurks around every corner, Harvest is the hero that keeps things in check.

🥧 Honorable Mentions

We couldn’t make this list without giving a nod to a few other tools that keep us on track and having fun.. Some of the other contenders for this list were:

  • Gusto – For making payroll so painless it’s almost fun. Almost.

  • Mailchimp – For helping us make emails that people actually want to open.

  • Adobe Suite – For being the OG creative powerhouse (and the reason our laptops sometimes sound like they’re about to take flight).

  • Dropbox – For keeping all our files organized and accessible.

  • Google Suite – Docs, Sheets, and Slides, oh my!

At the end of the day, we’re thankful for a lot: our clients, our team, and the tools that make what we do not just possible, but fun. Cheers to the software that keeps Yellow Lime running like a well-designed, well-scheduled, color-coded dream team. 💛
